November 6, 20214 yr I've been looking around some forums for AI traffic for my p3d install, i've tried aig but i keep coming back to UTL1 because of the preformance, i've seen bits and pieces of an ''UTL2 beta?'' i've tried getting more info on this but apparently its still being sold somewhere but due to circumstances the dev has stopped? i'd like to see the UTL2 beta and even purchase it if its availible anywhere, would anyone know where i could find it?

It's still soled alright by flight one but my friendly suggestion is you stay away as its a half baked product that will never be fixed. Give AIG AIM another shot as its way better in just about every aspect. The initial installation is not as problematic as it might initially appear.

Also, i use UTlive for preformance, because with AIG my preformance is always abysmal probably due to UTlive injecting the traffic or something along those lines
November 6, 20214 yr My guess is the performance issues may be due to traffic volume. Otherwise AIG can inject traffic as wall using traffic controller. UTL v2 is very much an early beta and will remain that way as no further development or indeed support is to be expected. UTL v1 (which also has its fare share of bugs) is missing the power pack which mean that the database cannot be edited or adjusted - at least not in any straightforward manner.

The only thing i do with UTL is edit the models for some pbr, the rest i dont mind, if its as simple as UT1 with newer liveries, thats all i need. about the bugs, any specifics?
November 6, 20214 yr Hi Sem, UTLive is on sale at Flight1.com. You need to download and install Flight Agent where you can purchase UTLive. Flight Agent is also the installer of Flight1 products including UTLive. Once you have purchased UTLive you can install both UTLive and UTLive 2. https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=agent

November 6, 20214 yr UTLive Ver.1 1.20 is the version for P3D 4.5 but also works regularly on P3D 5.x UTlive Ver.2 Beta 210-1 is the version for P3D 5.x
November 6, 20214 yr Author I've just uninstalled an outdated version of UTlive1 and installed UTlive ver2 on my p3dv4 Most paints are outdated, and the ai does this... all of a suden after loading in. only osme repaints are accurate like the AAL ones, also a couple of default paints for some reason, is this all the ''bugs'' you guys were talking about? or have i simply done the uninstall-install process incorrectly? I was using UTL for years and it was ok for me so far. But especially along the last couple of years, where things in the real world have chaged, i´ ve really missed the option of the longtime promised "Powerpack". Because actually all the Traffic would be seen at Berlin Tegel EDDT still in UTL and none at the new Airport EDDB for example. No way to change that in the propretary UTL FP. In the Beta version of UTL2 there is nothing different to it´s predecessor, except the HTML based new GUI. V2 Beta still use the old flightplans and routes and also the AI´s are fairly old and it´s pain in the word not allowed to assign new AI´s. Because it was officially announced that the further development came to an end even for the new V2, because the deveolper has just stopped everything, and V2 will stay at actual stage, i´ve tried the AIGM and i don´t regret. No performance related decreases noticable for me, compared to the "injetion" method of UTL. Bernd P3D V6 - PC spec: Intel i9-9900 overclocked 5 GHz HT off, 32 GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX3090 24GB, 2xM2 SSD, Skalarki HomeCockpit and Jeehell FMGS on a dedicated Server, PF3 for ATC, MCE, GSX, EFB, AS+ASCA+ENV and OrbX
November 8, 20214 yr Just my two cents... Ultimate Traffic 'Live' is not 'v2'...more an abandoned 'v3' to be more precise. There is UT1, UT2 and UTL (Live)...all three were started and never finished/abandoned. ...From their own product page: Quote 900+ Airlines Worldwide - All that traffic buzzing around the sky wouldn't be right if you did not support the airlines that fly these scheduled routes. Ultimate Traffic Live contains over 1600 aircraft repaints of various worldwide air carriers, both big and small. The package contains over 90 aircraft types to provide users with a wide variety of aircraft scenery that adds a unique feel that is only second to you being outside a real airport fence. "1600 aircraft repaints" - AIG has over 1200 airlines alone, each with dozens of liveries (even special liveries, updated liveries). UTL liveries on the other hand are very outdated, or non-existent (how many of those "900" airlines have no liveries? Daedalus Airlines anyone?). "90 aircraft types" - I don't know how many 'types' AIG has (I'm not at my home computer right now), but they have over 400 different models. For example, you won't get a generic Airbus A320. You'll get a CFM engined model, an IAE engined model, one with or without sharklets (accurate to the livery), the NEO models, the private aircraft models, etc. Point is, you'll get better quality AI models across the board. UTL AI models are ancient/not optimized for P3D Ultimate Traffic Live has been in Beta since November 2019, and has essentially been abandoned since mid to late 2020. Many UTL flight plans are well over a half-decade old. Little to no cargo airlines (especially the large ones like UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, etc) Ultimate Traffic Live = $45.00 USD AIGAIM + AIGTC = $0.00 USD, Euro, Yen, Rubles, Pounds, <<insert your currency here>> As for the 'injection' method of adding AI, AIG has been doing that for months now. Over half of the 1200 or so available airlines can be optioned to be controlled by AIG Traffic Controller (AIGTC) which is also in beta, but being actively developed, which also uses the 'injection' method. Instead of .bgl plans, AIGTC uses .AIGFP plans that also will integrate air routes (instead of point A to B like the bgl files). This controller also allows helicopters to be used as AI, with proper helicopter movements (hovering, vertical takeoff, etc). I'm sure there are other things that have been pointed out that I'm missing here, but bottom line...from one simmer to another....save your hard earned cash. Devin CYOW
