April 9, 200719 yr Hi,After about 5.5 month of using FSX I ended up with the horrible Re-activation issue. Instead of reinstalling I think I will wait for SP1 for a new install. My question is if I uninstall FSX will it affect FS9(which I use most of the time)???Thanks,Helmut My System: Intel 9700K 4.7Gz, ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHZ, Evga 3070TI 8GB, Noctua NH-D15S, Gigabyte 27" Monitor, Windows 10 64bit, 2xSamsung 500GB SSD, 1x Samsung 120GB, 1x Samsung 970, 1TB, 1TB H/D for Storage. April 9, 200719 yr No, it won't affect the FS9 installation. I've done it several times now :-) .Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. April 10, 200719 yr I want to reinstall FSX on a different partition, what is the proper way to remove it and clean up the registry? Thanks,Dirk.
April 10, 200719 yr Run the FSX uninstall and then reinstall to the new partition. Nothing special needs to be done with cleaning the Registry.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. April 11, 200719 yr Author I uninstalled FSX yesterday and it DID impact my FS9, but not severely. When I went into FS9, my Active Camera addon was altered back into the demo state. I had to dig up my registration number to get it working again. Also the license agreement for FS9 needed to be accepted again to work. Other than these two issues, there was no further problem.Curt Curt Branch
