I am trying to resolve an issue with my sim not being able to load.  I get stuck about mid way from the sim going into the menu.  I think it might be something with the Google Mod.  Does anyone know how to completely remove it from my computer?  I have it in a folder on my desktop but when I try to delete it, it says it cannot because a folder is in use by a program.  However, I can't find the folder nor can I see what program is using it.  I am trying to avoid completely uninstalling and reinstalling the sim and this is my last resort.  The sim was fine yesterday until I updated some things that needed updating in the marketplace.  Since then, it gets stuck every time.  Thanks!

I'd start it up, press Start and let it sit for a while. Then I'd press Stop to make sure it does a clean 'shutdown' and clears up the hosts file. 

If you still can't delete it, look for the 'nginx.exe', that is the server that pushes the Google Maps data, make sure that's closed, then try deleting it again.

If you're still having problems, download something like "LockHunter" and see what is locking it.

When you get it deleted, make sure you check your hosts files (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) that the two entries are gone, as it sounds like the program has caused a few issues. 

If you wanna play around with it in the future, make sure you get his latest version off his Github (Releases · derekhe/msfs2020-google-map · GitHub) that's always a bit ahead of the flightsim.to page.

Better to ask to the developer of the mod in flightsim.to.

He probably knows how to remove the details.

Make sure its updated. It has seen almost hourly updates at times for SU7.
