November 28, 20214 yr I started this thread in pilot2atc forum but I think it is appropriate for main forum in case someone has come up with a better workaround as this problem started with SU6 and it worse in SU7: I create flt plan with simbrief. I then export to MSFS. I then load the saved plan and everything looks great. As soon as I try to select the departure gate from either dropdown or zoom, the entire flt plan changes. I had not had this problem with earlier sim updates. I believe is it combo of Simbrief and Asobo but not sure. On another forum, this workaround was posted but apparently it does not work always. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/simbrief-flightplans-change-when-selecting-cold-dark-start-at-a-gate/384218/7 Anyone have workaround/solution?
November 28, 20214 yr That’s a bit of a strange one as it was known that pre-SU7 it was common behaviour for the sim to rearrange any flightplan if you were to change runways etc, however it was one of the fixes in SU7. For me I use Simbrief for a lot of flight planning and the SU7 fix is working for me whether I’m using a Simbrief flightplan or not. How are you selecting departure gate?
November 28, 20214 yr Pre SU7 selecting the departure gate using the drop down menu was the only thing I could do without having the gates rearranged. Post SU7 I can select a gate either by drop down menu or by clicking the airport map without issues. November 28, 20214 yr I'm seeing the same thing. Change a gate assignment or runway at either end, and the entire plan changes. Theother day, after it was changed, the fight plan was correct except for 2 extra waypoints. I right clicked each one and choose delete. They would not delete from the route. Flight planner still needs work for sure. I just left it the way it was and setup my route correctly in the FMS. I noticed that after landing, I never get directed to the arrival gate that I picked. I just get a random assignment. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

I am using FBW A320 and pilot2atc so I wonder if either program is affecting it? I will have to test without these. Pre-SU7 you could select departure gate from drop down but now neither works for me and apparently some others.

The problem I am also having is even if I go with the rearranged flight plan, when it loads in to the MCDU it shows flight discontinuity so only a small portion of flight plan loads.
November 28, 20214 yr Try pressing the up arrow on the FMS to scroll the flight plan down. Seems backwards, but it works. If you get a discontinuity, press CLR and then delete it by pressing the LSK next to it while "CLR" is showing at the bottom of the display. The only disconnects you can't delete are the 1st one after departure, and the last one before you get to an approach transition. In those cases, you are supposed to "manually" fly it, either by hand, or using an AP mode like HDG. What works for me is to (in the FBW A320) is to start by loading the Simbrief plan first, then click the LSK next to departure airport and select the departure rwy, SID, and SID transition. Then, skip right to the arrival airport and select the rwy (with the correct approach type, ILS, RNAV, etc.), approach transition, STAR, and STAR transition. This gets my flight plan mostly correct. Next, I go back and delete any discontinuities and waypoints that aren't showing in my Simbrief plan. If the plan only contains waypoints between the SID transition and the STAR transition, just add them in by typing the name in and clicking the LSK next to the slot where it belongs. The rest will shift down to accommodate it. If your flight plan has airways and waypoints, here's where it gets sticky. I recently changed from experimental to development per FBW's recent announcement. In experimental, I could click the LSK next to the last waypoint before the airway, and it would let me enter the airways and waypoints between them on the next screen. In the dev version, I get an error when I type in any airway designator. In experimental, it worked fine. It used to let you enter multiple airways and waypoints on that one screen and after saving it the flight plan would come out verbatim to the Simbrief plan. No idea what is wrong, but I'll troubleshoot after I get home from vacation. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

I create Simbrief plan and load in to MSFS. Then I select my departure gate and let it mess up flt plan. I then go to p2atc and get my SID/STAR and arrival rnwy (try to match with MSFS). Go back to MSFS and insert them and save. I then load it in to p2atc. Worked first flight. 🙂 Hope it sticks until fix.
May 23, 20224 yr New to the forum so I apologize if I just haven't seen the answer yet. But did anyone find a work around? I, too, am having this issue after loading from SIMBRIEF. Every time I fly Vatsim, I have to spawn in on runway and sneak my way to a gate prior to hitting connect.

You will by default start cold and dark unless you select a predefined panel state like turnaround, taxi or ready for takeoff depending on the airplane you fly Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
May 24, 20224 yr If you are using pilot2atc and the fbw, don’t even worry about loading it in msfs. Set a gate as the departure, and load the flight plan into the fbw and p2atc separately. Fbw with direct import, and p2atc by pasting the flight plan text into the import fp window and adding the airports to the front and back of the text string.
