PMDG

Featured Replies

Have been out of simming for over 2 years due to my work.  Before that, I had downloaded the latest PMDG Queen of the Sky.  I'm just now getting back into it and find that PMDG no longer appears to support FSX.  The only plane they offer for FSX is the DC-6, the Queen is no longer showing on their web site(?)

Will somebody be so kind as to update me on what has happened in the last two years with PMDG and the Queen.

Much Thanks,

Captain Tom

PMDG stopped development and sale of add-ons for the 32-bit sims (FSX, FSX-SE and P3Dv3).  If you purchased any of the 32-bit versions from them before they ceased selling it, you can still re-download the final version from their web store.  If you need to buy the 32-bit version of the 747, Aerosoft still lists the FSX version for sale on their website.

PMDG still develops and sells the 747 for the 64-bit P3D v4 and v5 platforms.

Thanks Bob, that makes good sense for PMDG to concentrate on the 64 bit sims, they can do so much more.  I have my QOTS2 still sitting in the hangar, will have to go back to "flight school" to relearn all its nuances.  She's a beautiful piece of software!

Cheers,

Captain Tom

PMDG stopped selling and supporting 32 bit models.
But if I have a 747, purchased directly from PMDG for FS9, will I be able to install, and activate?
I'm having issues with this.

Your best course of action is to open up a support ticket with them.

I have an open ticket 38E-2964ADE3-0008  , but did not like the answer:

"I am afraid the activation process for the legacy products is no longer operational. We have tried to fix it but due to incompatibilities with modern day programming suites this is not possible"

I have the product, I can download it, I have the keys but I can not activate, very strange situation. I'm waiting for a solution.
