Does anyone know if it is possible to toggle the city labels off and on without accessing the menu? I .E. can a button be assigned to this task?

Unfortunately no, there's no possible binding.

If you are interested in knowing where you are flying though, you can use this

That's a shame. I was hoping there was a way we could maybe just press a button to highlight place names rather than having to download and have a separate app and have it running in the background. Surely it wouldn't have been so difficult for Asobo to implement one more key press?

This has been requested to Asobo, along with a shortcut to toggle taxiway assist... request ignored unfortunately 😞
