AIG / Traffic Controller Question

Featured Replies

I am trying to get my AIG completely up and running and have a question.  How does the Traffic get injected into the sim?  I've installed my liveries and confirmed that was successful and load Traffic Controller before loading the sim.  Yesterday I did a flight from KSTL (the payware version that is in the Marketplace) to ORD (FSDT).  I load the sim and start at the gate and there are 0 planes at STL.  I thought that was odd.  I decided to take off and I pulled up Traffic controller and it was just a black screen (i have seen this before but it eventually loads).  I checked back later and it seemed to be running fine so I looked at the map and there were a lot of planes flying around ORD and MDW.  This has happened before but in the opposite where the only planes on the map were around my departure airport but nowhere else.  I was told that the map is a work in progress so I shouldn't be too concerned.  I guess my question is, do I need to do anything in  traffic controller once in the sim to get the planes injected quicker or does it take a long time?  Based on what I am describing, Did I miss some steps?  Thanks

What's your timing of firing up the TC?

I open that then open the sim

Offline traffic is a mess, I use Live Traffic with 40% ground density with the AIG take off fix, it seems to be the best option right now, but you should always  load TC when you sit in cockpit whether you use offline or Live Traffic

Try opening when you're in your flight, then click inject. See if that works better.

That seemed to do the trick.  Thanks!

Actually, I noticed that on a flight from ORD-LGA, i had a ton of movement and planes at ORD and then took off and it seemed somewhere half way to LGA, traffic Controller shut off.  I rebooted TC close to New York and NYC had tons of flying traffic.  But when I landed at LGA (payware), there was one plane.  Could some airports be causing there to be now traffic at the gates, etc?

You should hit up the AIG folks on their forums for support.

Is there a benefit to using TC over a product like PSXT with LiveTraffic?  With these two products every airliner in the world will be in the sim and will fly the exact routes they do in real world.  I have AIG installed but I have never used the Traffic Controller.

some airports are not desinged for AI traffic, and this can cause to see no traffic at all

Really?   I'd think that payware airports would all have that enabled.  Is there anything available to download to make them  get AI and parked at the right gates?

the developer of the payware addons needs to take care of that
