Which has to be balanced against the fact that China is leading the world in renewable energy production figures. We also have to consider that per capita, the US emits the most, in fact double China's emissions. Re Japan, the link below is interesting.

Yep, I still think it will be the smaller companies like General Fusion that make the breakthrough, rather than ITER of NIF.

Fusion still has a long way to progress before the tokamak will fit in a starship...
