Can't Change Distance of Final Heading

Featured Replies

Using with the PMP A330 in VR mode. Everything good except if I change the distance and/or final heading in either the 2-D or VR mode boxes I always get the same distance and final heading after pushback ?

Just tried it in 2-D mode and still the same. I aways end up in the same location with the same heading independent of what is entered in the distance and final heading boxes .

Can confirm using the latest public update.  Will try with the stock A320 and report back,

Thanks

Can you post a video showing all the process, from the time you set the value in the boxes, and the after pushback?. Remmember the distance must be taken into consideration with the turn offset, with both combined, you will get the starting point where the tug will begin the final turn....it's not the point where the aircraft will end up.

Cheers,

I think I have it fixed, at least with the stock A320. I am testing in 2-D mode so I can see all the dialog boxes. There are two places where you can enter information, the smaller black dialog box and the larger grey command center dialog box. It appears that the  distance and heading should be entered into the larger grey dialog box. However, what I discovered, which would not have been observable in VR mode, is that in order to correctly transfer the data to the smaller dialog box, the marshaller icon has to be depressed. In addition you cannoy directly enter the information and must uset the +/- keys.  My guess is that the code is polling the values from the smaller black dialog box which is not seen in VR mode.  My giess is that the A330 will work now that I know the process.

Ok, tested in VR mode with the A330 and it works perfectly, but have to change values with the +/- keys and have to have the marshaller icon selected in order to transfer the data.  If the marshaller icon is not selected then the data values are not transferred, which was my original problem.  The marshaller is a nice additional feature but probably wasn't intended to be neccessary for correct operation.  Now I can enjoy your great addon !

Glad you had sorted it out!, yes, in VR mode the +/- buttons are there so you don't have to type the values once you have the VR helmet put on, however the panel in VR mode allows you to type the values too. However the external window only allows you to type the values directly in the window, because you can't see that window with the VR helmet, so you have to type those values there. And as you said, yes, you need to show the marshaller or update it's position thru the other location button so it takes the values.

Cheers,

Manuel
