So I landed and there was only one structure on the field. December 9, 20214 yr No refuelling when thunderstorms are in the vicinity due lightning strike risk ,the other one is - no pax onboard during refuelling operations. especially true for aircraft using AVGAS for piston operations. December 9, 20214 yr The aircraft needs to be grounded to prevent static electricity buildup. The flow of fuel actually can generate static electricity. Sparks are not a good thing in an atmosphere of fuel fumes!
