December 13, 20214 yr So I decided to try out the beta with live weather and chose KEYW of which to take off. Metar said broken clouds at 9500 feet. I decided I'd level out at 6500 feet. However, during ascent and at that altitude, there were still clouds around me and even well below me. Are they still continuing to fine-tune the altitude of clouds, or is that something considered "fixed"? Edited December 13, 20214 yr by mikeklimek
December 13, 20214 yr As you know Mike, Asobo doesn't communicate real well in real time, and they have the capability to change things in the background w/o hotfixes and patches to a degree, so it's really any of our guesses what's still being worked on now. The critical requirement for all MSFS users: patience & tolerance of uncertainty 😉 Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. December 13, 20214 yr Asobo are driven, like all quantum processes, by the Uncertainty Principle. You can only ever know either where they are with a fix, or how fast they are getting there with it, but never both at the same time. And as with all quantum particles the closer you look at them the less you can see. And yet they are the fundamental constituent components of the digital doppelganger universe of MSFS; a lawless and chaotic area of space -time, which is often nevertheless wonderful to behold. Who'd have thought?

And then there are those unintended consequences that happen with each SU--that dang quantum entanglement😂 Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. December 13, 20214 yr and as soon as you try to measure what's happening the wave function collapses aaaagh!

Seriously, nobody has the faintest idea what Asobo is doing on the background... but as far as I can tell, live weather looks credible and the sim is totally enjoyable in this beta hotfix. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
