December 16, 20214 yr hello all, just wondering if its worth unticking all the addon airports i have just leaving theDEP and ARR ones ticked ( plus the essentials) to perhaps save a bit of performance and the odd stutter as an airport loads in ? December 16, 20214 yr It depends, in case you are flying into a city with multiple airports such as London, Paris or Moscow, it is a good idea to untick the other airports in that city from loading. Likewise in case your route is overflying any huge airports on the way, to save VRAM. Otherwise just leave them in even if you are overflying them. VRAM isnt a big issue in P3D V5 like it used to be with FS9/FSX.
December 16, 20214 yr Author ok ikarus , good suggestion thanks ROG Crossair Hero X670e , 9900X, TUF 4090 , X4 NVME's. December 16, 20214 yr I only active departure and arrival (and alternate) airports, for that reason: no more stutters. Plus, some of them don't have (automatically changed) seasonal ground textures and might thus stick out like a sore thumb. December 16, 20214 yr I'd recommend Lorbys Addon Manager, that makes that process a lot easier since you can do it BEFORE starting P3D. And it has a search function, which is helpful when you have too many addons. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
December 16, 20214 yr SIMstarter can do this set it up before flight to only load scenery required for flight. Raymond Fry.
