Stuck between "FLY" and "READY"

Featured Replies

This has never happened to me until today,  repeatedly:

 - the sim loads normally to the main menu.

- I select my departure (I tried different ones, just in case...) and click on "Fly"

- the process starts and never ends

The task manager shows low CPU usage (12% MSFS of total 13%), near zero GPU usage, zero disk activity, zero network activity  but VERY HIGH (red) power usage!,  which is inconsistent with the usage data.

AFAIK, I have changed nothing since y'day, when all was OK.

Has anybody experienced something like this?  What should I look for?

Many thanks,

Philippe

Did You install google maps mod at any time? If so you have to reset the hosts file.

If the Google Maps mod issue doesn't apply to you, and if you have a rolling and/or manual cache set, try deleting and disabling your cache(s).

I have this too from time to time and it‘s quite annoying. A complete restart of the sim usually fixes the problem. And no, I‘m not using Giogle maps or rolling cache.

I don't have the Google maps mod.  Yesterday, I emptied the community folder and all went well.  Some more digging req'd.  Next time I'll try the cache reset advice.

What I find really puzzling is the power alert with next-to-nothing running:  probably a false positive...
