January 2, 20224 yr Just posted my prep, taxi, and Departure out of Orbx's Key West bound for Myrtle Beach, S.C. this morning... in Screen Shots Forum. As another posted, this is the most fluid sim, in animation I now own. Compared to XP11/MSFS, this sim is now fully torqued out, stutter free, on my 12 year old system. I just can't get enough of this sim...and is now my first go to, of all of them on the system. What L.M. has done in this version of the franchise, is simply amazing! On my just posted (still in flight to Myrtle...) I highlighted all the great features of GSX II. Can't leave home without that one! Cheers, Ses
January 2, 20224 yr Same Experience hare as well. Got myself the PMDG 737 Cargo variant, as well as a couple of European airports from orbx and I have been having a blast this holiday. I cant remember when last l launched MSFS, and I don't think I will for the near future. Really looking forward to XP12. But for now am having a 60FPS blast on 4K with my beloved 2080s and I9-9K with V5.3 HF1LF. FPS disclaimer ( at stock airports and in cruise )

I am now about mid Orbx TE Florida at 12,000 feet AGL, at 320 knots...dead smooth...I mean...not a flutter as TE Florida is loading in real time off of my hard drive, (not SSD!), and how the **** L.M optimized P3D in this version has me totally stumped, and absolutely thrilled as a user, beyond all measure. I flew MSFS for about 20 minutes, over Florida...and then shut down and did the same in P3D...and so much more felt I was actually flying. When their 737 comes to MSFS ill jump back over but until then P3D.
January 2, 20224 yr Also getting very fluid 30 fps where it can attain >30, but just noticed getting strange 4-5 fps lower fps on airport in full screen, if I put p3d in background by say opening start menu or alt-enter p3d to windowed mode then fps increases and is able to hold at 30 as before. Dont know which version of 5.3 this started, already tried disabling full screen optimization and updating latest nv driver. Edit: Changing gpu power management to maximum performance fixed it, odd as this is the first time needed to change that from driver default. Edited January 2, 20224 yr by him225

I have always run with Maximum Performance Preferred. and with that, am staying in a 27-to 33 (locked top end in nVidia Mask) with absolutely no type of animation pause, stutter, flutter, outright freeze, ....none. This could never be reported with ANY sim and their versions, until now. Now? v5.3 HF1 LF gives a true feeling that you are flying in real life, if you look down from the wing.....
