Transponder keyboard shortcut

Featured Replies

Anyone know if you can turn the transponder on and off with a keyboard shortcut? I know that you can hit T but I don't know what that does. I also have Spadnext. Thanks in advance.

What a/c are you talking about?

SInce the BN2 Islander is an add-on a/c, it might be best to ask the developer if there is a convenient way (perhaps a variable that could be used) to bind a key to the Xpndr on/off switch. I tried a few things to see if I could turn the C172 Steam Gauge xpndr on or off, but was not successful.

As an aside, since you would usually just turn the xpndr on and off once per flight, I don't really see the utility of using a key instead of the mouse for that, but of course that is a personal choice. On the other hand, I can see how binding a key to the Ident button could be useful.

Have you got a full FSUPIC version?  Looks like doable with FSUIPC and Mobiflight (may not even need Mobiflight)

Good find -- just tried turning the Xpndr on and off in the steam gauge C172 with FSUIPC7 and it works. You do need a payware version of FSIPC7 for this.

EDIT: I also found you can use FSUIPC7 to control the Xpndr in the G1000NXi.

If you have spad.next you can programme it to a rotary switch..

Thanks guys, I do have Spadnext and I have programmed it to change the transponder codes but I cannot get it to turn the transponder on and off. Thanks.

No luck from the FSUIPC thread I quoted?

Tks but I don't have the registered copy of FSUIPC.
