Checkered Graphical Glitches

I tried everything mentioned other than changing the driver before I changed out the driver.  So...I can say with out a doubt on my machine reverting to Nvidia driver version 466.77 is the only fix that has worked PERMENANTLY. Everything looks better and runs faster with that driver too.  I'm wondering if a lot of MSFS woes aren't caused by the newer nvidia drivers and we just think it was SU 7 that degraded everything.

Great stuff. Again, it is one of the common causes, despite being told "no" earlier, so definitely worth trying all these suggestions, as the cause could be different for each person. Glad this one has sorted it for you.

We need to bear in mind that not every issue we encounter is a fault with the sim for Asobo to fix, and rather than read up on common problems that affect all software, we immediately create threads to vote on -- and then wonder why Asobo haven't acknowledged that they are working on a fix (because they have nothing to fix on their end).

OP here. Shoot. It just happened to me again. I’ve been flying MSFS since day 1 and never have I had anything like this happen until yesterday and now again today. I updated my driver a while back and everything has been fine after so that’s not it.

I’ve had multiple flights in between the incidents just fine. But now it happened again just a day later. What. the. heck.

It’s very worrying

If I reinstall the drivers, it usually stops it for a few weeks, but then it comes back more often.

As I posted earlier it happens every now and then. Each and every 'solution' you will find for this problem isn't a real solution because of the way those solutions are found: someone notices the glitches, thinks 'I gotta fix this' and changes a setting or a driver or whatever after which he starts the sim again and YES the problem is gone. But the problem isn't gone because of the 'fix', it's simply gone because it's ALWAYS simply gone the next time you start up MSFS...! At least on my PC. Perhaps the only possible 'fix' might be switching from TAA to another AA-method (although I never checked it) but no one wants to do that. Other than that it's just a matter of ignoring the blocks during the flight or restart MSFS if you can's stand them. Big change the blocks will be gone then. And it won't be thanks to any fix.

The only one who can REALLY fix this is Asobo.

I have experienced this glitch too but only when using Nvidia driver updates newer than 466.77. Apparently it's been around for some time now since early last year.  Not sure why Nvidia still hasn't at least addressed the problem or fixed it.

Kind regards,

Tim
