anyone ID this gauge on a PA38?

Featured Replies

In the below image, I'm trying to identify the gauge circled in RED.  It is not a standard gauge on a PA-38 Tomahawk, and I'm wondering if any of you can tell what it might be.  I *think* it might be cylinder head temperature but I'm not sure.  Any ideas welcomed...

It's an old EGT gauge, manufactured by Westach.

Cheap but functional (no index reference bug, etc).

I take that back. red thick pointer is the reference. Actual EGT is white needle. My bad.

Ah yes...thank you for the info.  I am used to seeing digital EGT gauges.  I have seen a steam EGT gauge but not as often.
