Command Center problem with latest update

Featured Replies

Hi am using FS2Crew in VR and have come across a problem with the command center in the latest version... Once FS2Crew loads there are no icons in the command center and the dialog box (Basic Information) is not there so I cannot use the Command center in VR. FS2Crew works fine in Non-VR mode.  I have tried to uninstall and reinstall same problem .. The only fix is to install the fs2crewbeta version over the latest install, this gives me back the Command Center with all icons and dialog.  The only problem with this I cannot use the "new night mode"

Andrew.

Hey Andrew,

You may need to uninstall the FS2Crew FBW program, AND!, go to your MSFS's community folder and delete (manually) the folder named "fs2crew-cmd-center". Once you have done that, reinstall FS2Crew FBW program (via the Products manager), then the setup itself will reinstall the Command Center with the new files.

Try that and let me know,

Cheers,

Manuel

Manuel,

I did try this. The process i followed was to uninstall , manually remove the files from the community folder. I also delete the exe.xml file … I reinstalled and the same problem occurred. I will double check the troubleshooting guide.. but I am sure I have not missed anything.. What is puzzling is that if I overwrite  with the VRbeta  version everything works fine.\

Cheers

Andrew

Mmm...maybe I misunderstood something...when you said this, you meant, you can't see the FS2crew icon in the MSFSA toolbar?... Can you take a screenshot to better understand?

Cheers,

Will do... The icons I am referring to are the clock (start pre-flight), mute button, and the checklist help in the command centre.  The dialog box is blank but fs2crew has loaded and is working. (2d mode)  Fs2crew is showing in the MSFS toolbar and works (brings up the command centre) but as i said when you select FS2crew FBW nothing happens.

Cheers

Hey Andrew,

Also, I think, the issue maybe on the WASM directory, in the "community" folder did you try deleting also the "fs2crew-data-proc"?, maybe the WASM is not the correct version or it's not detecting it, because if that's not working it will not trigger. Try to (and I know that i's almost like again):

1- Ensure MSFS and FS2Crew FBW aren't running, if they are, close them.

2- Uninstall FS2Crew FBW

3- Once uninstalled, go to your MSFS' "community" folder and delete these two "fs2crew-cmd-center" and "fs2crew-data-proc". Once they are completly deleted.

4- Reinstall the last version of FS2Crew FBW via Products Manager.

5- Restart your machine.

6- Run MSFS, also ensure that the red FS2Crew icon is on your Windows task bar, after MSFS starts.

7- Load the simulation at an airport with the FBW aircraft

8- Launch FS2Crew FBW program.

9- Go to FS2Crew FBW Settings window.

10- In the PORT NUMBER field enter 4442. To try a different port number.

11- Ensure the "ENABLE HTTP SERVER" is checked.

12- Close the "Settings" dialog, and it may appear a black command prompt or ask you to enter "YES" in the next window it will appear, you hit "YES".

13- Open the FS2Crew Command Center from the icon in the MSFS tool bar. At this point confirm you see the "toggle night mode" button just to check that's the last version.

14- Select the "FBW A32NX Project" option from the dropdown.

15- In few seconds it should appear the icons below.

Cheers,

Manuel

Manuel,

We have made progress !.. I followed your instructions and initially had the the same problem... (at this point the config window was open to check port no,) I closed the config window and Fs2crew command center started to work.. I have check the night mode off an on and all seems to be working fine... In the updated version it seems that the command center will not work if the config window is open. I have check this a few time, if the config window is open the program pauses (command center non responsive) once I close the config windows everything is fine. (certainly on my machine anyway) I never had this issue in the previous version.

Thanks for your help...

Andrew
