Fastest FS 2020 Plane

Featured Replies

Hello,

Using Fs 2020, I would like to fly very fast along a river - Final goal will be a video ...
Icon A5 is too slow ... you helped me with a very slow plane.
What is the fastest small plane available in FS 2020 (Deluxe Edition) ?
Maybe a marketplace plane ?

Thanks in advance.

The sim has the F18 Super Hornet as a free pack.

If you haven't downloaded it already, the package should be in the in-sim marketplace.

It was released at the point where the sim started to support actual supersonic flight. It's like unmentionables off a polished spade.

Currently circumnavigating the world in a mix of Cessna and Piper aircraft.

My Default Setup; MSFS, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster Hotas X, TrackIR, Samsung Galaxy Tab, JustFlight Piper Arrow. Simworks Quest Kodiak 100.

Wishlist; Honeycomb Bravo, Honeycomb Charlie.

1:400 Airline Model Collector.

For your purposes it is much more realistic and feasible to use a prop plane. There is one plane for free in Flightsim.to called the Vertigo version 1.6.0.

It is heavily over powered and extremely fast, with very good visibility at the outside world. It flies like  a swiss army knife and is much fun.

I just adjust the simrate eg. +2.  🙂

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

One good option would be one of the Reno Air racers.

Also - though a lot of people here seem to hate on AH - my personal favourite fast and low scud running ride is the Aeroplane Heaven Mk1a Spitfire:

Thank you for all your suggestions.

I have tried the Vertigo and F18. Both will be useful for me.

Visibility is NOT a problem, because I always modify cameras.cfg to move cameras outside my planes.
I only keep cockpit default view for all devices.

So how do you fly the plane?

You can control the aircraft in drone view by pressing "c" - I assume it is the same with external cameras.
