Help with sim choice

Featured Replies

I don't know much about simulators and am seeking any and all advice on a sim for the Citation Bravo. Would like semi realistic controls. I have a golf simulator so I can use the existing computer. Thanks in advance.

If this isn't in the correct forum please let me know.

Welcome to the club !

To the best of my knowledge the Bravo is not in any of the major sims, MSFS, P3D or XP. It was in FSX but I do not advise to go this way as this sim is obsolete (there are still users though…).

In Msfs that I use, the closest would be the CJ4 which is a widely acclaim freeware.

You should specify your microprocessor, RAM size and graphic card because a sim is much more demanding on hardware than a golf sim.

Simming since 1981 -  [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

As Dominique has suggested, the Citation CJ4 in MFS looks like the easiest / best option, and it is supported by the freeware developers community around the MS platform.

Using MFS you also benefit from detailled and very well looking World scenery for a lot less than what you would have to pay or spend in time and work to process scenery areas for other platforms. Not to mention weather depection.

MFS is getting the BEST EVER update in it's next World Update - Portugal and Spain !  Nothing will be like before after we have an even better Portugal in the sim ! MFS IS THE BEST - the others can take a rest... ( ehehehe, just a pun to the others who know me around here ... 8-))

Many links you can find about this CJ4 MFS Mod, i.e.:

But.... Shhhhh ( don't mention this to anyone at the MFS Forums !!! ) if you're willing to try the BEST EVER bizz jet simulation available for a desktop flight simulator, and yu can pay it's price, go X-Plane + Hotstart Challenger 650 !  Look for it in Youtube...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

MSFS has the Citation CJ4 and the Longitude out of the box, plus what has been mentioned before so that would seem like the way to go.

The Longitude is in one of the "better" tiers of MSFS though, I believe Premium Deluxe.

Thank you all for the help!!

Computer specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 16.0 GB ram Windows 10 HOME NVIDIA GeForce 1070Ti  Is my computer capable or need an upgrade?

Next choices on plane would be Ultra,Encore or V. Are any of these available? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum mate , your rig was similar to my older rig and I ran MSFS just fine . Another golf simulator fan , me too .
