help with bonanza...

Featured Replies

I've been enjoying the Frett Bonanza mod however I can't seem to keep the engine running after landing.   I've tried opening the cowl flaps on approach and leaning after rollout but the engine always quits on me. Any advice would be appreciated.

no clue which mod this is, but the 2 you want are the turbo by robert and the NA enhancement. You should not be touching the cowl flaps on final, nor leaning after rollout. Leave them both parked from cruise until exiting the runway as general rule.

I do not recognize "Frett Bonanza", but if you are referring to the Bonanza Improvement Project available on TO then leave the throttle cracked open a bit. i.e. do not pull the throttle all the way to the stop as you flare and roll out.

I agree, I've had the same experience, and I think it's wrong. the engine shouldn't cut out that easily. Some one in some forum did say to open the cowl flaps, so I understand where you're coming from.
