Hi,

I am very glad I purchased FS2CREW, it adds a new dimension into the game.

I have noticed some little things that may be of interest to enhance the software.

- The FO flow when activating Preflight Events seems to fast. When he/she tests the APU fire, the ECAM is not yet displayed. My understanding is that when one tests fire systems, you have to check proper ECAM checklist is displayed. It would be great if the FO could wait a little before the test and maybe he could also brighten its displays and at least the E/D and ECAM ?

- After doing its preflight flow, the FO let the DOOR page button clicked in. The DOOR page does not need to be pushed because it is automatically displayed on ground.

- It would be great if there was a button assignment available to toggle the whole panel minimized to taskbar or at least a button to toggle “collapse all” function ( the green circle) icon. I find not ergonomic the fact that I have to often use the mouse to click collapse the panel in and out. It would be great if the panel could be minimized to taskbar with the click of a button and be displayed again with one more click. That way one could check the next event / checklist to come without needing to use the mouse with all the problem inherent to which window has the focus. It could also work with the collapse all function but personally I would rather have no panel displayed at all when not needed.

I was expecting the “show panel shortcut” to do just that but I do not understand what it does. Bring the focus on the FS2CREW panel window?

Sorry for that long text, it is just my 2 cents to improve this great addon.

Hope it is of interest,

Pierre

You mean that it tests the APU fire, too early right?

Can you take a screenshot of it on the cockpit, so we can verify and reproduce it here?

There is a key assignment to show/hide the main panel, in the "Settings" window, you can assign it to a hot key in your keyboard or a joystick button. Does this works also for you in this way?

Thank you again for choosing our program. 😅

Cheers,

Manuel

Hi,

Yes about the APU Fire test.

About the door page, if I remember well, when the FO goes for the walkaround, just have a look at the System Display buttons and you will notice that the DOOR button is illuminated hence pushed in. I will take a screenshot on next flight.

Regarding the show/hide panel, I will have to try it again but when I assigned a button to it , it seems it does nothing 😬 When reading the tool tip though, it is written that it will put the panel window into focus if I remember well.

Ah ok, I'll have to check it.

I'll have to check that too once able.

Mmm. this is weird, it should be working... Can you record a video or screenshot where are you assigning it?

Hi,

I just did another flight and can confirm all of the above.

- FO preflight flow before going for walk around is too fast. At least he should check the ECAM elec page after applying External power and check that checklist is correctly displayed when doing the APU fire test.

- When FO goes to walkaround, the DOOR page button remains clicked in / illuminated.

- I may also add that during the preflight events, the baggage loading and catering loading are too fast also. From my experience working on the ramp, the bagage belt is put in place very early even before the bags arrive at the plane ( in fact it should be in from the beginning of the flight if it is a turnaround) and often stays until just before pushback ( in case of cabin bags needed to be put in the hold). For the catering, it should take at least 10 min.

Finally, regarding the panel show/hide button, it is in fact on a “show” button. It will bring the panel from minimized in taskbar to the screen but it will not hide/ minimized it to taskbar with a second press of the button. You need to click on minimized icon first on the panel.  Of course I do not know if it is the intended behavior.

Had great fun with FS2CREW and PBE today !

Me again 😉

After a few more flights I noticed one more thing :

- Cabin attendant is asking for door closure when boarding is completed but the doors is already closed and air bridge removed. Maybe timing can be adjusted.

And also one question :

- I noticed there is no “after flights event s” for deboarding. It would be a great addition similarly to preflight events.

Hi,

1 - ok misunderstood that, thanks for the heads up.

2 - I was thinking about having the ground services connect automatically and having the passengers deboarding sound running.

2. Deboarding sounds:   Unless the cockpit door is open, you're not going to be hearing much (depending on the plane).

The however jetway should auto connect assuming one is available.

But the problem with other ground services during arrival is that, for example, I recall the baggage car only loads bags, not take them off.  It's problems like that.

(If using Pushback Express, however, I recall you can manually activate these ground services as desired)
