May 16, 200719 yr please help - as I really like Vista as a gaming platform but have 3 problems(1) I can't uninstall FSX to be able to reinstall it clean - FSX doesn't show up in my Programs list from "Programs, Control Panel". Checked game directory and does not have a uninstall program that I can see(2) Alt-tabbing doesn't seem to work for me - ie play FSX for 30 mins -get an email - alt-tab out check email - fine - but then only about 25% of the time can I get back into FSX. It shows up as a process - using RAM etc - fine - but alt-tabbing doesn't work, go into task manager - and select switch to or bring to front - and it doesn't work - normally it just hangs task manager. Sometimes (about 1/4 of the time) -it switches back fine - but if it doesn't the only option is to "kill" the process and start again - which is rather frustrating.(3) Windowed mode isn't liked by Vista much - in that I mean - it works fine - but wheras in XP - it didn't effect the frame rate - its far worse frame rate in any window size from small to large- almost as if its not 3d accelerated or Vista is trying to do some sort of resize or something.thanks for any help, Mark.
May 16, 200719 yr I have similar alt tab problems, but I find that if I hit esc, fsx opens with options to end current flight/continue flying. The latter puts you back into the sim.regards,Jeff Jeff Hunter
May 16, 200719 yr Commercial Member Mark, did you check Vista's "Games Explorer" for the uninstall? I think it might be in there... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

May 16, 200719 yr Author I had to uninstall yesterday becuase I couldn't find the friggin' start-icon for FSX as well. I tried a DVD repair, didn't help. Performed a uninstall (Uninstall Option = autoplay FSX DVD Disc 1). Re-installed FSX fresh (in anticipation of SP1); still no start icon. Ryan is right, it's under Vista-Start-button -> Games -> Games Explorer icon. To repair or uninstall FSX in Vista, autoplay the installation DVD. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
May 16, 200719 yr It's been mentioned here before, but if you go to the Games menu and right click on an icon, you have a choice to pin the icon to the start menu or quick launch.
