World Map Starred Airports

Featured Replies

I have a number of payware and freeware airports that do not show as starred on the world map. Is there a file that I can modify to ensure that they do? Thanks for any reply.

iirc the stars do not indicate your installed airports but special airports provided by MS, e.g. you can land at as many starred airports and get some funny badge. the installed additional airports have instead the little wrench symbol.

Well the wrench symbol then. I mean some notification of all non default airports on the world map? There must be some file in the airports folder that enables this?

As I have read, this can only be done by the developer. Most freeware and payware producers are doing this correctly, but some are lazy and don't. I have asked ORBX several time to correct this for some of their airports.but they don't listen or don't care.. If you are using LittleNavMap and let it read the scenery, it can exclusively show only add-on and MSFS handcrafted airports.

Ah, I was wondering about that little wrench symbol.  I just assumed when it did not appear then maybe the add-on was not working. But now I see it is more likely that a lazy developer did not add it. Would be great if we could fix it ourselves.  Cheers.

I am bumping this to see if anyone now has a solution as to how we can make all addon airports appear as highlighted as opposed to default to the main flight planning map? There must be one simple edit one would think.

It is on my "small annoyances" list too.

Been looking into it and from what I can see the only way is to edit a bgl file which is beyond me unfortunately.
