SP1,Clean Install and add on?

Featured Replies

If I do a clean install and then SP1 can I just copy backups of my add on scenery folder(activating in the library of course),aircraft, gauges, effects, scenery etc over to new installation?Probably not my texture folder since I have modified textures in it.Thanks,Ron

Well, i installed SP1 over my current FSX installation and i noticed this:- Frame rate improvement in window mode- Frame rate improvement in fullscreen mode but with LOTS of stuttering which i didn't have before. Frames going from 13 to 80 in spot view in a regular airport.- Frame rate decrease in the busy airports such as JFK. Impossible to fly, frames around 5.My bandwith mult is 40, fiber frame is 0.33 and i switched off vsync, as per Phil's post. Now i uninstalled everything including FSX and all addons (which took me over 1 hour) and i am preparing to install everything from scratch. Hope it works now. I'm starting to think they are right to say "if it isn't broken, don't fix it". My FSX was running beautifully, hope i can get it at least to where it was before SP1.

Hi PhilI tried putting (JOBSCHEDULER)AffinityMask=3in the fsx.cfg because it wasn't there. Is this you mean? Thanks.

It didn't help the stutters in fullscreen, so i decided to install everything from scratch to see what happens...Thanks for your answer, Phil ;-)
