Easiest is to have a vanilla P3D45 installled, just for these things. Of course you can also manipulate registry, create false P3D4 directories etc, but I think it is much easier to just have a small v4 installed, if you have a licence. I actually don't know, how ORBX central does testing for an existing P3D version. Easy way to test is to create the P3D folder path, drop a text file in and rename the text file to prepar3d.exe (making sure Windows display file extenions is enabled). I often do such on my own installer builds, e.g. read the registry for the path and then confirm by looking for a named exe.
