May 19, 200719 yr Commercial Member Just wanted to post what I have done to fix a blurry issue, actaully it wasn't an issue at first, but I had changed my Filtering to Trilinear in FSX to see if there was a difference and BAM... blurries, then changed it back to Anisotropic and it was back to normal... no blurries.. Screenshots attached... the first shot is with Trilinear, second with AnisotropicHopefully this helps some people.TRILINEARhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171928.jpgANISOTROPIChttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171929.jpg Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
May 19, 200719 yr Thanks for your suggestion. On the example you provide there is an obvious improvement. However the blurries most people are encountering is due to hi res tiles not being loaded. In particular this happens on large photo sceneries when you fly around. After a while the blurries start appearing. I'll post some screens...

May 19, 200719 yr I wouldn't down play this fix, from viewing the threads and having the same issue myself, I think alot of the folks are complaining about exactly what this fix solves i.e. sharp textures in a close radius, then blurred out pretty quick as you move out of the intital circle. This suggestion cleared up my "blurry" issue - Look through the threads, I think this nails a bunch of the complaints. As for not loading high rez tiles, I'm sure that is another issue, but I am a happy camper for fixing my "blurrys" Thanks!!!
May 19, 200719 yr OK chaps here are the examples I promised. I have anisotropic filtering enabled also. There is a 1 minute delay between the screenshots below...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171939.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171940.jpg

May 19, 200719 yr Just out of interest wasn't there a photoreal scenery patch released a couple of months ago? Maybe this will stop the blurries. ? Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
May 19, 200719 yr Sorry I was obviously unclear. The point is that all my scenery appears blurred unless I pause the sim and wait 1 minute in each location for things to unblur. Not a very good work around you must admit...Rgds,JCMK
May 19, 200719 yr So I've just found a fix. Uninstall SP1 and revert back to RTM! Indeed, just by doing this, and nothing else, my FSX works well again and no more blurries. It is a great pity however to loose all the benfits of SP1 and have to revert back to RTM. But that's the only fix I have found. Here's a few examples without the blurries. Looks good.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171942.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171943.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171944.jpg
