May 19, 200719 yr I have a AlienwareP4 3.0 ghzATI X850XT AGP Using latest Omega drivers, have tried 2 previous versions also.1 gig PC 3200 ramRunning 1280x1024x32 windowed mode.I get this while I fly, FPS are normally great after SP1 but now I have this stuff constantly and also caused huge freezes while it happens???http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171947.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171948.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171949.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171950.jpgGary HayesLevel-D Simulations Development TeamNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..Radeon X850XT 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
May 19, 200719 yr It looks like Foucault's panopticon has been realised...0.33, 40 mult, bilinear, toggle AA, reduce scenery settings, toggle fps unlimited and fixed, defrag, check Phil Taylors blog on blurries for other tweaks...
May 19, 200719 yr That is exactly the same thing I had on my 128mb ati 9800 pro. I cured it by increasing the AGP aperture size in bios from 128 to 256 mb./Mats
May 19, 200719 yr that was it sir!! thank you so much!Mine was at 64, changed it back to 256, now my 40s-50s FPS ar eback and no more artifacts.Gary HayesLevel-D Simulations Development TeamNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..Radeon X850XT 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
May 19, 200719 yr Good to see it helped. Actually I was lucky to find it. As a last resort before bying a new card I went to bios and changed it down to 64, which made it worse. So I set it to highest and so far no problems. I still don't know why it's needed./Mats
May 19, 200719 yr genuflects and kisses airmail's feet in gratitude!! This is the singular important advise I got so far!! Black screen, texture load delays and corrupted texture all gone in one stroke!!
May 19, 200719 yr Keep an eye on that card's temps. My 850 was doing that right before it spat its fan. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU

I have the same problem and would like to try adjusting the aperture size in bios but don't know how. Thanks!
May 20, 200719 yr My old card did that when I overclocked it too much. Check your fan and dust accumulation.

May 20, 200719 yr >May I ask exactly how you do that? I have the same problem>and would like to try adjusting the aperture size in bios but>don't know how.Don't go inte bios if you not know what you do. It depends on your machine how you do, check the motherboard manual.>My old card did that when I overclocked it too much. Check your fan and>dust accumulation.Yes, it looks like overheating and that is the first thing to do. Still I find it strange a SP suddenly causes cards to overheat but I never rule out anything when it come to computers;) It might be that the larger AGP aperture size reduce the load on the card./Mats
May 20, 200719 yr Dust fried my ATI X850XT (not even overclocked it, just the dust), had to buy a new card.It is very important with this card to keep it dustfree, just a friendly advice.
