After updating FSX to service pack 1, when I go to use my FS9 I now find that my PMDG load managers will not work, also my FS2crew centre will not work and my Active Camera has been reduced back to demo mode ??When you click on either of the two PMDG 747 / 747F load managers the message " Fatal Error can not detect a valid microsoft flight simulator installation" come up on screen. For FS2Crew,when using the crew centre, if you select either of the LDS767 or PMDG 747 tabs the message " FS2Crew levelD 767 edition not detected.Funtctions on the tab will be INOP" ( same for 747 )And to top it all my active camera installation has reverted beck to demo mode ?????FS9 is flying fine, so what is going on ??? Service pack 1 has certainly tampered with something as all was ok before this install with both FS9 and FSX HELP !!

Just a guess here, but did you happen to reinstall FSX prior installing SP1? If you did, the uninstall of FSX is known to blow-away the FS9 path in the registry as well. You can find a simple FS9-path registry fix tool at Flight1's website and various other places. That's the only thing that comes to mind at the moment...

Al your right, I did uninstall and then reinstall FSX before applying the update..guess that's the explanation...I will travel across to flight one now..thanks !!Phil D

Cool, I'm sure that's the issue then, as a lot of addons use the path from the registry to properly function.Good luck...

Wow I just checked my FS2Crew Start Centre and had the same problems! I ran the Flight1 Registry Repair Tool and all is now fixed. Thanks for highlighting this. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. I wonder what else got caught in the crossfire....

Max,Glad it helped you too. After all, your "Farewell to FS9" video is my number-one demo and I've been showing-off my new rig to friends and family using that particular video to this day. Still Outstanding!

Al,Thanks for the tip on fixing FS9. Had the same problem as Phil. Unfortunately I think the only way to fix active camera, as least for me is to request a new authorization code. I just hope that is all that needs to be fixed. I really was in a panic mode until I found this thread. Thanks again.Carl
