Can someone please explain to me how to get Ray Smith's great scenery packages to work in P3D v3 ? I have created a separate folder for all my addon airports and have pointed to them via the scenery library to pick up and add various airports, only problem is none of the buildings show up.? I know Ray often included an OBJ file with his sceneries which had to go in the texture folder of the global scenery file, I think ! Is it a case of just doing the same in P3D V3 or is it a different process ? It would be a great shame to lose these terrific files...

Don't worry guy's......Like a prat I had not selecterd the "Show all Varients" box on th echange aircrafts selection page !!! Duh !!!

I have downloaded this aircraft to day and installed as directed.Downloaded some liveries and installed as per the manual, but they do not show up when I go to change aircraft ??I have looked at the aircraft config file and all seems ok and checked for a thumbnail file in the texture folder and all is ok.What is going wrong here ??

Ok I give up, downloaded and installed the NGX but when choosing it I am asked for an actavation code ?Where the heck do I find this ?Looked through first two manuals no mention there, looked at my e-mails from PMDG, no mention there ?So where is it ??? Help !

Ryan, sorry to be a pain mate but like many on this thread I too am having problems trying to get a ticket for my extended download order I placed yesterday.After being told i had exceeded my validation quota for 747fsx I decided to redownload all my 747 packages and placed an order for extended downloads on all of them (3)Like everyone else I get the email confirming my order I then click on the link supplied within the email to get my ticket for download, get taken to the new web page, register and then click on the the email verification link request and get nothing !!I have clicked on this maybe 4 or 5 times now and get nothing !!You have my cash I have received nothing in return ???And no its not in my junk mail folder or spam folder and my email address works as you sent me two emails confirming my purchase of the extended download in the first place....Help !!!Phil Densley

Sorry to report Andy its a no go here....In fact following the instructions above, when I click on load the previously saved flight, my PMDG 747 is found at the runway or gate with all four engines on fire !.But there are no displays either PFD or Nav, the overhead panel is switched off, but the engines are running and the fuel cutoff switches are set t o run ?Upon moving the fuel cutoff switches to off the engines wind down but the smoke/fire keeps bellowing out from the engines.Going through normal start up procedures brings everything back on line, but the smoke continues from the engines, then while climbing the TAT problem is still evident by the climbing temperature with increasing altitude.Nice try mate..looks like we have more searching to do ...

Andy,how will this work with aircraft from PMDG and Level D for example, where the payload and fuel are set from a seperate program and the flight plan is also input via the onboard FMC rather than using the FS flight planner.Also the club I belong to using real world weather vis FSInn or active sky, any news on how we would go about solving the TAT problem using this proposal ?Keep at it mate, somewhere there lies an answer, we have just to find it !!

Ray, I'm with you.The current recession here in the UK has hit the strength of the pound badly.I was planning to buy the latest two offerings from PMDG and updating my AS 6.5 to ASA, both of which will now have to wait until the pound recovers some of its position versus the dollar and the euro.Phil Densley

Hi all.I fly once a week with a local flight simulation club, where we all get together on line and fly a pre-prepared flight plan and weather.I have been using FS9's advanced weather feature to input the weather required, but have been wondering if I could use AS6.5 to do this ?I do not need to supply waether to the others on the network, just for myself, as the graphics from AS6.5 would be far better than those I currently get FS( itself.An example of the weather briefing we recieve is detailed below...FS Weather Set-up:Cu (Cumulus) 1/8 3,500ft tops 5,000ft Ci (Cirrus) 2/8 38,000ft tops 41,000ftSurface Wind - Calm up to 5,500ft Upper Wind 080
