Perhaps English lessons at school should include a vocabulary - it comes free of charge. EDIT: Oh and 'infamous' when they mean famous. Even 40 years ago when I was a development engineer the new grad engineers that came into the company to start their careers couldn't write a coherent sentence or even know when to start a new paragraph. It was a boon for me because I started out as a technician and was promoted to development engineer simply because I could write proposals and instruction manuals for the test equipment my department made for the manufacturing floor. In addition to my design work I did most of the writing for my department. They were college graduates with degrees in engineering. But they weren't educated...they were job trained.
