FBW Livery Error - Path too Long

Featured Replies

I have run into an issue on a few liveries downloaded for the FBW that when I drag them into the community folder, I get a message saying unexpected error "error 0x80010135: PAth too long".  I thought maybe the file name was too long so I  tried to rename it to something shorter but I didn't have the option to rename.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks!

Put your liveries in a seperate folder outside of the Commnunity Folder - then use MSFS Addons Linker from flightsim.to.  to link the files to the Community folder.  Solves all long file / folder path issues.

Is it easy to use?

Too easy. So easy it doesn’t even have docs, yet everyone uses and raves about it.

Don't drag the file out of the compressed zip file by double clicking on it and dropping it in the community folder.

Extract the contents of the zip file first to its own folder, then copy the file to the community folder.

That should fix it for you.
