FBW Engines Won't start

Featured Replies

Anyone else having issues starting the engines with the latest 2 Exp builds?  I've been trying to fly out of RDU today and have attempted 3 times to get the engines started after pushback and have not been successful.  I have everything set up correctly and it will switch to the engine start screen but nothing happens.  I restarted the sim and tried again but the same thing happened.  Yesterday was fine.  Anyone else getting this?  Thanks!

I see they updated the Exp. version twice today. Try updating.

Hmm... I  just tried now and they both fired up fine. Maybe check you have bleed air and your pack switches

Agreed... That being the case I would try installing the developer version and see if that solves the problem. If it does then try reinstalling the Experimental version.

Strange.  I just loaded a new flight and parked at a different airport and started the engines no problem.  Could there be something with my KRDU scenery that would cause a conflict making the engines not spool?

I don't see how. Did you do something else before going to the other airport (reboot computer, restart MSFS)?

Something weird is happening... I am at the latest exp version and it happened again trying to start the engines.  Nothing happens.  I have done everything correct to this point.  Anyone else seeing this?  I got them back up and running for a few flights and now they won't spool again

APU bleed?

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Well I just finished a flight with the newest exp and no problems.
You are starting a new flight, yes? (no loading of a saved flight; this doesn't work with the A32NX)

1. Fuel pumps are not OFF (no white)?
2. apu master and apu start on? (and the green light has come on at the "apu start" button after the apu has successfully started?)
3. apu bleed on?
4. engine selector set to start/ign? (to the right)
5. you start with engine 2 by flipping the switch forward? (not both at engines at the same time)

If it works sometimes and sometimes not, it seems like a user error, the way I see it.

All of those were done. I am 100% positive and only fly the Airbus and have been doing so for years.  I’ll keep troubleshooting

Alright try a clean install for the A32NX: https://docs.flybywiresim.com/fbw-a32nx/installation/#clean-install-steps

If it still doesn't work, try with only necessary mods (A32NX, one livery, airport scenery for your flight) to prevent conflicts. I have never seen any scenery conflict with aircraft, but I have seen outdated liveries and other general tools do so. Not sure about other aircrafts, but I've heard reports about it, so be sure and pull them out of your community folder as long as you don't find out what's going on.
