Get in touch with your inner aviator, relive the golden age of hand cranking a biplane! Navigate by the stars  roads and railway tracks. Waggle your wings to waving pedestrians and shout down at them 'Nar nar na nar nar. I'm up here having fun while you're down there being jealous' 😀

Assemble at Duxford in the kite of your choice at:

  •             Date and time: Saturday April 23, 18:00 UTC
  •             Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel
  •             Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com
  •             MFS Multiplayer: US Eastcoast Server

A map with the route ready marked out for your convenience is available HERE

A silk scarf, if you don't own one can be purchased at the gift shop in the main entrance.

I will be flying the DC Designs Boeing Stearman which can be purchased HERE for a derisory sum of £10

JanKees and easyrider60, if you're reading this, please accept my apologies. I searched Flightsim.to for your Stearman paints but you weren't there! So I've zipped them up and uploaded them temporarily to HERE

Things to look at:

EGCB Barton (Where Chock hangs out)

EGND Crossland Moor

EGCJ Sherburn Airfield

EGNJ Humberside

EGUY Wyton

EGBG Leicester

EGNX East Midlands

Too many Manchesters to choose from. 😒

History:

This is England, we invented history. Look out of the window, you'll see loads of it.

And finally:

If you want to help others enjoy the multiplayer experience, don't forget to enter your aircraft details on the multiplayer spreadsheet (linked HERE.) Your courtesy will save others a lot of time and effort. Thanks!

Nothing like flying over History! or is it flying in History? or is it flying through History?  any way works I guess.

And very nice presentation for this history lesson Sir Attwood! Almost witty even. 👍

PS: Open cockpit EH? Well then.. I have reserved one yellow silk scarf at the gift shop, in a shade of yellow that matches the paint of this open cockpit craft of course but am still looking for some good goggles for this trip: you know the ones that have wipers to periodically be able to wipe off the splattered insects and/or bird droppings that might infest our eyes faces as we travel this historical journey IE:

or (for big birds..the HD version with auto wash):

The Steerman is a great platform for learning formation flying.  Good fun that was.

Barnstorming with music.
