FBW A320Neo and wind forecasts

Featured Replies

In FBW's A320Neo's INIT 1 page we have the possibility to import the winds from, in my case, MeteoBlue.
But also there's the possibility to jot in the numbers yourself in respectively the climb and descent pages of the INIT 1 page. The latter can be data derived from Simbrief's OFP. When I do both for the same flight I notice that the numbers provided by MeteoBlue and Simbrief are very different.
I wonder which one of these two are more accurate to use with MSFS real time weather active.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

Meteoblue should be better, since the sim gets its weather from Meteoblue.

Thanks Watsi. Besides that, it saves me from hitting some keys as well 🙂

How do you import Metoblue winds into the MCDU?

It's easy. In the EFB's setup METAR Source to MeteoBlue then in the FMS on the INIT_1 page hit WIND/TEMP that brings you to the next page where you hit WIND REQUEST and there you go..

I don't need to download anything from MeteoBlue? It does it by itself?

Nope, no need.

Hitting WIND REQUEST is basically synching the live MeteoBlue data (already uploaded in fs202020 by default) to your FBW A320.

That's how my simple mind understands it anyway !

That's correct. Just follow the steps I wrote in my previous note. That's all there is to it.
