Why do scenery devs model pizza boxes, malls, bedrooms...?
At some time in the future, guys... At some time, 'The Sims' will be in there. 🙃

Navigraph and Flightradar24 Partnership
Getting live traffic from FR24 (or here, Navigraph) is not as complicated. Yes, you can get data where aircraft XY is located right now. But actually you don't need that precision, especially if you have your own injector (like e.g. BATC does). You just need plain data: what aircraft what airline from where to where and at what time The injector can do the rest. And can sequence on its own.

Inaccurate ground surface in FS2020 simulator still!
Well, with some update (I think it was end of last year), they switched to MSFS2024 textures for MSFS2020. So yes, the original 2020 ground textures were better than the 2024 ones. For those, who stayed on 2020, it was a significant change to the worse.

Fake AI plane in MSFS Marketplace
He actually lives near Frankfurt (GER) these days. I guess he lived in Switzerland for some time. And I'm pretty sure he was in the US for a year or so during his school days. That's where he got his thick american accent, and now he either can't get rid of it or is proud of it.

BATC and FSLTL functionality
Well, this comparison (SI=BMW and BATC=Skoda) is a bit off, to be fair. Both addons have their flaws and issues, they're both "unfinished" in one or the other way. And their level of luxury is more like BMW vs. Audi - with one being significantly cheaper. (for me, taking the level of completion into account, it's a bit more like a Skoda vs a Golf, to be honest). For sure both will grow up with time going by. The only question is: when will they be ready to move out of their parents house.

BATC and FSLTL functionality
It is available in the VFR version of BATC, which is in the Experimental Version (supporter).

Aerosoft releases update for their A346
As far as I know, they already did, together with the last patch (1.0.1). Could be wrong. Maybe ask WW about it.

Aerosoft releases update for their A346
Yeah, it seems they're still in the 'fix tiny things' phase. Although most of the now fixed bugs, I didn't experience. I'm also waiting for some real QoL updates. For example let the user set one of the custom saved flights/configs as the default spawn config. This would also solve many problems with the EFB. Still the jetway wants to connect to the 1L door no matter what (and breaks his back while doing it), even if your position is totally accurate at the gate. I know this is also a scenery/airport problem, but there has to be a way to make 1L (temporary) invisible for the jetway. I have no fps issue here (2020). And no loading issues.

FSLTL: Static injection only from 2026/04/30 due to lost API
This is getting off the rails. The best time for me to officially say goodbye to this topic. 👋

FSLTL: Static injection only from 2026/04/30 due to lost API
Actually, if I would leave my house open, and someone sits on my couch and have some beers when I come back. I would appreciate that. (omg, I'm so lonely) 😆

FSLTL: Static injection only from 2026/04/30 due to lost API
So... if you are from FR24. My impression (not in any way knowing what really happened), hearing FSLTL talking about FR24 in last few years, was that FSLTL had a kind of an agreement with FR24. Again, have no clue what really happened behind the scenes here. The agreement was made because they didn't use it make money out of it. That's what I did read on their discord. But I can be wrong. FSLTL made no money. No one had to pay anything. If there is a way available to get data from FR24, and everybody can access it, I wouldn't call this stealing. At least I would exclude FSLTL from the stealing part, cause no money. No selfish reasons. On the contrary: I asssume many FSLTL users are also FR24 clients. FSLTL does not provide the same product as FR24. Meaning, you won't use MSFS (with FSLTL injected traffic) to check the wordwide traffic and therefore don't use FR24. FSLTL was more of an advertising for FR24. For all the rest, I totally understand FR24.

FSLTL: Static injection only from 2026/04/30 due to lost API
This was not based on flightplans. This was based on what airplane/airline is parked, is taking off from XXXX at this (live) moment and where is its destination (arriving traffic the same of course). This data was given to the MSFS own traffic engine and MSFS is doing the rest. That's why exact gate positions taxiway routes and takeoff rwys can be different from time to time (to real life). Cause MSFS is doing the actual 'movement' of the planes, decides which rwy is open, etc. I guess FSTraffic (Justflight - payed product) is doing the same but not with live traffic but with flightplans (from some years ago). But MSFS always handles all the aircraft in the end. BATC for example also uses flightplan databases (not up to date too), but handles the traffic in MSFS by itself (so MSFS has nothing to do with all the traffic). It is kind of a must, because MSFS doesn't know what BATC is doing. So BATC has to handle all traffic it 'talks to' - without using the MSFS traffic engine.

PMDG 777 VNAV Oscillation During Step Climb
Are you sure you have turbulences activated in MSFS? (although I don't know how the 737s behave in 2024, cause I refused to pay the "cup of coffee").
-
PMDG 777 VNAV Oscillation During Step Climb
Try to let the autopilot of a B738 or B737 do an ILS approach with normal live weather, but in spring or summer, when the heated fields around the airport produce thermals. Just watch what the autopilot does. The use of puke bags in my plane is at 90% when approaching 25R at EDDF on a summery day. (in 2020 btw. but I assume it's the same in 2024). I have to switch off the ap at some time, to get the plane under control. (2020 turb set to medium). The 777 (at least the 300) is better in that way, cause it has more mass.
-
PMDG 777 VNAV Oscillation During Step Climb
I guess the attitude is also: if they don't build an accurate flightsimulator for our perfect plane... their fault.
-
PMDG 777 VNAV Oscillation During Step Climb
Yeah, they said this for 2020 also. And yet, the PMDGs are the only planes having problems with the turbulences in 2020 and 2024. For some devs out there, it's always the users and/or any other softwares fault.

BeyondATC: v1.8.6 EA, v1.9.0 Exp. and toolbar v2.0 out
Hey Dialex, I do appreciate your efford, to explain things openly and transparent. Thank you for that. And I'm a user from the first day of EA. And BATC getting better, is one of my most important topics and a matter of heart regarding my hobby (with all love for the product in this words). And I appreciate what BATC has done so far (including the latest EA update!!). And I do understand the high level complexity, bringing a virtual ATC to life, as well as the coding challenge behind it. And I do understand that this project takes time, even more, since BATC is not Microsoft with the according ressources in personal and infrastructure. And I do appreciate the early decision, to bring AI traffic into the project. And I know about the complexity that followed this decision alone. What I (just out of my personal experience) do not understand is, that something fundimental, like a correct descent path (when vectoring) is still not fixed. I remember how I thought on the first day of BATC: oh, that is pretty bugged, but they will sort it out soon. Every dev of a higher level airliner is able to program an algorithm for a more or less correct descent path in the FMC of his ship. I wonder why your top of descent is 20NM too early for one day and 20NM too late for the other. Please understand, I don't expect a 100% accurate descent path. The FMC ones aren't too. But (just out of my own experience) this shouldn't be one of the highly complex things. Even if you have to take different aircraft with different performances into account (and I know you have to). Even if you have to take different weather into account. I know you need tables for different aircraft basic types (like a340, b737, b747, b777, etc.) and calculate every descent differently, according to the circumstances. But still I think this is one of the parts, which isn't 'rocket science'. But just a bit of stupid work. Maybe that is the reason (at least for me), why there is some kind of 'misunderstanding' regarding some criticism on that matter. Please believe me, when I argue about this topic on discord, there isn't a screaming, angry and ungrateful customer 'on the other side of the desk'. There is someone who really appreciates your product and wants to help making it better. That may be the disadvantage of texting instead of talking. I know all the devs have their heart in this product. And it can get pretty emotional (would be the same for me). But I also would appreciate (especially on discord), if someone who 'comes to your shop' and talks (texts) about flaws, would be seen the same way. As someone who appreciates the product and wants to contribute to get it better. And... just want to have a chat together. Telling him that he "... just doesn't need to use the product, if he doesn't like it," ... Well, It shows one of the biggest misunderstandings from the developer side. But people talking to you, still is much better than the many many customers, who actually don't talk to the BATC devs, because they just don't care about the product. (to turn your phrase arround 😉) A decent part of my continuing fun for this hobby depends on the fact, that your product is out and the best product (for my personal needs) on the market right now. (No pressure 😄 ) But we all agree, it can get even better.

BeyondATC: v1.8.6 EA, v1.9.0 Exp. and toolbar v2.0 out
As far as I know the only difference with experimental version right now is, that VFR is in there.

BeyondATC: v1.8.6 EA, v1.9.0 Exp. and toolbar v2.0 out
Especially the local voices are speeded up a bit (which imho is much more realistic than the premium voices, they talk more like a TV news anchor). And also: they speak according to traffic. If there's not much to do, they speak slower than when there's a busy airport (or sector).

I made a fresh install for version 1.0.1 and indeed they forgot/removed the pdf in the aircraft folder, with this package.

BeyondATC: v1.8.6 EA, v1.9.0 Exp. and toolbar v2.0 out
Especially when you have no STAR in the Simbrief flightplan (to force BATC to vectoring) and you come straight from crz with about the same HDG, the landing runway is. This is big fail. Instead of getting you straight in, too late descent, too high approach, strange vectoring....

BeyondATC: v1.8.6 EA, v1.9.0 Exp. and toolbar v2.0 out
Just a suggestion. Try to use the (free!) Local voices (not to confuse with premium or basic voices). You can switch to local voices in the settings. They sound much better than the basic ones and nearly as good as the premium. And also: the response time is much faster than with basic voices. They will get rid of the basic voices, cause they do nothing else than making problems.
