Recreating missing SID (or STAR) in the (Fenix) MCDU?

Anyone knows a video that shows how to manually recreate a SID (or any procedure) in the (Fenix) MCDU? I planned a flight and SimBrief as well as the EFB Navigraph showed a SID that was nowhere to be found in the MCDU. Very odd... I tried to recreate the SID manually (by looking at the chart) but in the end simply did a Direct to the exit waypoint. 😉 Worked fine but I'd like to know how to recreate a procedure with all radials and stuff as shown on the chart. Should I create user waypoints for that or can you simply add points with radials and all directly into the flightplan?

And if anyone knows how it is possible that a SID is completely missing from the MCDU while SimBrief and Navigraph show it, let me know! 😉

Some SIDS are runway-specific. If you choose a departure runway that is not linked to the SID, it will not appear as an option. The only way to know if this is the case is to examine the r/w chart for the SID to see if it requires a specific takeoff runway. 

KLAX is a good example. Departures at this airport are done 90 percent of the time to the west, and most of the SIDS are only valid for runways 24 L & R and 25 L & R. There is one SID (GARDY4) that is used for eastbound departures from the opposite end of the runways (6 and 7 L & R). About the only time aircraft use that end of the runways for takeoff is when Santa Ana weather conditions exist which typically have strong easterly winds.

LIMC, take off runway 35R, SID OSKOR 5P. The plan was made by SimBrief, OSKOR 5P showed up in the Navigraph app too but not in the MCDU. The chart shows it is linked to 35R. Everything is updated to the latest AIRAC.

In the meantime: If someone knows a video or tutorial that shows how I can add (taking OSKOR 5P as an example) LIN and TREZZO into the plan, using the correct bearings, I'd be much obliged. 😉

Just to double check, you also updated the Fenix navdata in the Navigraph Navdata Center?

OSKOR5P is not a SID but rather a SID Transition.

From 35R you require something like TELVA 6G or H then add the OSKOR5P transition.

You'll find numerous departures in Italy coded like this.

Yup. 😉 The MCDU is also showing the correct AIRAC.

Okay... I always thought that the first 'waypoint' a SB-plan shows is a SID if it ends with a number and a letter... (and it doesn't show a Direct). Is Italy doing its own thing here? Why doesn't SB add a regular SID then?

Ah, I notice Navigraph shows DEP behind some chart names and TRANS behind others! Never noticed that before. I'll be sure to check that from now on! Do other countries do the same or just Italy? Still odd that SimBrief doesn't handle this more properly...?

BTW I am loving those Navigraph charts in the Fenix EFB!!! Glad I've taken a subscription! Can't imagine how I've managed without them before! 😉 Lots of fun too checking them out during cruise. 🙂
