Support for X-Plane 12

Recommended Posts

@Dave-Pilot2ATC,

I did a quick search for this subject but did not see anything if Pilot2ATC will be supporting X-Plane 12.

I only fly in VR currently in X-Plane 11.55r2 and use Pilot2ATC on every flight so very interested in the answer.

If you need a tester I am very willing to help with also.

Thanks Bill

When X-Plane 12 comes out, if XPUIPC plug-in still works, P2A should work.

Unfortunately, there's not much detailed information on the future version.

X-Plane 12 has been released and I have checked Pilot2ATC with it. It works! I have simply copied XPUIPC and P2A_XPLink folders from <X-Plane 11>\Resources\plugins to <X-Plane 12>\Resources\plugins and started everything normally. Work the same nice way as with X-Plane 11, I can communicate with ATC, get clearance etc, chatter is being broadcast. I will test it some more when I have more time, but it looks very good.

Best,

Jarek

There are some issues with P2A and XP12.  SIM Weather has moved but if you are using this weather system then no issue.  ASXP I think is a dead product so I have set P2A to NOAA for at least current weather.  May not exactly match XP12 SIM weather but should be close.

TG is the more difficult issue to get working to supply AI information for the map.  This all seems to stem to Laminar decision to relocate global airports out of custom scenery and replace with a new scenery_packs.ini record placeholder.  This is causing issues with Xorganizer.

Taximnt will be impacted by this global airports change.

makerwys for XPlane is also no longer working with XP12 due to the change that put global airports into a separate file structure.
