June 7, 200718 yr I hope this isn't an annoying/illegal question. Someone wants to sell me a copy of FSX they no longer use and have removed from their computer. I haven't read the user aggreement and don't know if it's permissible to re-sell the program and can it be re-activated by the new owner.I think this is probably not possible since Microsoft loses on the transaction, but I thought I'd ask.Mike
June 7, 200718 yr well if he activated his copy on his computerwhen will MS find that strange that the next computer is different, and you will have to call them....and explain....so I doubt ital
June 7, 200718 yr Call Microsoft, they arn't as bad as people tend to make them seem to be, explain the issue, who knows what will happen.
June 7, 200718 yr 1. you can activate FSX on 2 different Hardware, without activation problems.2. you are allowed to have FSX installed on one pc only. If your friend uninstalled his version, you are ok.3. if the number of activations are passed, you can call microsoft helpdesk for free. They can reset your activation key. Of course, if they find out that the program is installed/reactivated on too many pc's (let's say 1 different every week), they will refuse you. From your question, you should be ok.Jan
