July 5, 20223 yr Hi, does anyone know what causes those odd shadowish textures that kinda follows the for example landing gear wheels when moving on the ground. I sometimes it's around some parts of the plane too. July 5, 20223 yr I have noticed this since day one in the sim and haven't a clue what causes it. Its most common on objects that move at "speed", a good example is - when clicking on the arm rests in the PMDG 737, you get a very quick burst of three shadows or so as it moves from one position to the other. The same can be seen when panning around and looking at the lamp posts while doing so. Its one of many odd bugs in MSFS.
July 5, 20223 yr Author Yet there are some quality videos without those artifacts being displayed. Odd Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
July 5, 20223 yr I believe it has something to do with the ambient shadows? Turning that off eliminates the effect I've read.
July 6, 20223 yr Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA), it's been there since day one. Especially in clouds, it manifests as ghosting artifacts or streaking. It's supposed to be fixed with new DLSS and DX12. We will see. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/ghosting-severely-after-the-new-update/457902
