Online, I read where some (user's) were having computer problems with traffic bgl's, so a light bulb went off in my head that the only thing new I've added to the system that possibly could cause a crash was a traffic bgl. Over a period of 3-4 days I added and subtracted each traffic bgl one at a time as a trial and error. Very time consuming.I noticed that by removing "maiw_cgas_elizabeth_city", FSX would shut down normally, which points to some conflict. Nothing bad to say about MAIW, I think MAIW is one of the best freewares. Probably my error somewhere in the conversion, but there are only so many hours in a day to play this game.

Did you try like you mentioned to set your bios to default values and then see if FSX still hangs? If not please do this.Get rid of the OC for now.Bob
