I would agree with this except for a few points.  Besides the charts being in the EFB you get way more options than just charts.  Accessing the Jetway, cargo doors, and pushback to name a few is really nice.  It's much nicer than going in the FMC clicking through menus to find the same options.  Seeing your aircraft come up on the chart as you fly along is something else you can't do on an Excel spreadsheet.  All too often I crosscheck my path on the EFB chart to watch in real time my aircraft icon hitting my waypoints and altitudes as I fly along.  Sure you can cross check your instruments but today in the real world you can monitor your position on an iPad using Foreflight in the cockpit.  Our sims and addons now should have the same functionality.  If it's there in the real world it should be in the sim especially for a PMDG aircraft.

Seeing as AITraffic/ATC is screwed up in the sim the -700 was the right choice especially seeing they included the BBJ.  That's basically two aircraft.  I stayed away from airliner flying and stuck with corporate, so the BBJ was a welcomed addition for me.  If the -800 came out first I would have passed and I believe far less people would have bought.

I agree--been there done multiple installers and apps to update everything it's messy and I like to KISS.
