Why pointless, and what is weird about trying out a new sim?  I’ve been a P3d user since P3d2. I’ve got thousands invested in addons and scenery. 

Many here have stated flatly they would only fly P3d because they desire to fly the PMDG Boeings or the FSL Airbuses. Now with the PMDG Boeings (600 & 700) and the Fenix A320 for MSFS 2020 there is no longer a reason to not consider trying the new software and its capabilities.
