Aerosoft MYNN in P3D5 Jetway issue

Featured Replies

Hi...

I've managed to install Aerosoft MYNN in P3D without any problems (I know it was built for v3).

However, when I try and get the jetways to move to either 1L or 2L on a 777 I constantly get the 'Aircrcaft door out of jetway elevation' or 'Aircraft door too high'.

Is there any way to correct this to make the jetway dock at the aircraft? As you can see, I am very close:

Although it does look like the jetway is quite low...

Can I manually raise it up?

Many thanks,

Ben

You may want to check the airport elevation in ADE (Airport Design Editor). According to Jeppesen, the field elevation is 13 feet. IN ADE, open the airport, click on Tools, Change Airport Reference Data and verify/change the elevation. Things changed a lot in v5 vs v3.

Everything else about the airport is fine...AI aircraft taxiing correct height, my own aircraft at correct height, so it can't be an airport elevation issue. It's only the jetways that appear to be at the wrong height.

This seems a well known topic, which you could have found pretty fast with Google search.

https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/119325-updates-to-nassau-x/

There's no solution, though the developer once wanted to update it.

I'd try to replace the SODE jetways with GSX jetways. Maybe even somebody already made a GSX definition.

I bought this scenery now too and added exclusions for the default buildings, removed the SODE jetways, which didn't appear either and created nice GSX jetways. I couldn't find the right type for the jetways in GSX, therefore I let creativity decide and took the ones with glass. Only the corrugated jetways were low like the ones used now but don't match the look of the airport I think.

Made some more modifications to afcad and GSX file. I added another jetway, which wasn't there on a picture of the airport but I have seen today on Google Earth pic.

Make sure to read the readme to get the most out of it.

I followed your readme but I get the GSX message "No jetways can operate at this position" when I try and get jetways to work at gate B22.

Will have a look at it. What aircraft did you use?

It was the PMDG 777 at gate B22.

The jetways still looked very low and I couldn't get them to change in the GSX menu (greyed out).

Ok, I could fix it. Also made some changes to the afcad. It was no problem to change the jetways to higher ones. It was the height, also the lenght at B22 of the jetway. I just made it as long as the marking on the ground suggested. I also modified 27 B to host heavy airliners.

Now I enabled aircraft until 747 at these parkings, which should be possible due to the black patch on the ground.

I don't have the PMDG 777, so I couldn't test with this. I tried with FSX 747, CS777, CS767, CS757. They all work, so I guess it also works with PMDG 747 or 737-900.

I have no idea why you couldn't change it. I did not block it in any way.

It's uploaded, you can download right now.

Thank for the input. I have seen, Aerosoft made the parkings to much forward. I will fix it at the other parkings later. Need to have some AI there to ajust it.

Hi...sorry it doesn't work.

Jetways are too low, can't dock with aircraft at all. Please see photo: https://imgur.com/rxCQSME

Your jetways are the aerosoft static ones. You don't have GSX jetways on your system.

Look at my jetways

0nvtAHC.jpg

There are some problems with GSX at the moment. Maybe that's the reason. Looks like GSX is not running and you still have the static jetways active. I added a readme to my files. Reading it helps sometimes. Do you have GSX installed? Does it run?

I made some minor adjustments now to the mynn-blaunarwal.ini. So download once again and replace it. The other files are unchanged. Also make sure after installation to run Restart Couatl and rebuild airport cache.

If you don't have GSX, don't use my jetways. I wouldn't buy it, if I had didn't have it yet.

I do have GSX installed and I've just gone through your readme once again following all your instructions. I still get the same jetways and I've screenshotted the GSX menu for this position. It says it has a SODE generated jetway (even though I've turned them off in the scenery folder). Any other advice? Thanks.

According to your screenshot, you should now have GSX and static jetways together. To make sure, the static jetways don't show check following things:

Make sure the static jetways are disabled: rename MYNN_ST_JETWAY_V3.bgl to MYNN_ST_JETWAY_V3.off

Also disable IDS_MYNN.xml in C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\xml renaming it to IDS_MYNN.xml.off

If they are still there after this, you might have the scenery installed twice? Search with Windows search for the MYNN_ST_JETWAY_V3.bgl file. For better search I recommend to install "Everything" search app.

I have no other ideas at the moment. The jetways you have on the pic are certainly not the ones from me. GSX does not have jetways like these, which were pretty cool, if it was possible to have them higher.

On your screenshot I see your using P3D3. My afcad was compiled for v5. So I wonder if this can be read by P3Dv3. I recommend recompiling it for v3 with ADE and your SDK. GSX seems to read it, but it doesn't show the jetways.
