August 21, 20223 yr Hello, just a question and your valuable advise according for a new (upgrade to my Motherboard) Im ordering the Intel i7 12700k.and so I need advise for the motherboard Thank you in advance
August 21, 20223 yr There is no one motherboard people can claim is the "ideal" for MSFS 2020. There are far too many questions you need to answer before anyone could say anything other than " I love brand XXX and have had no problems" which may be well intentioned but is not overly useful. For starters we would need to know your case size (ITX, MATX etc etc) and graphics card (PCIe type in particular). Also how much RAM you need and whether you intend to expand in the future? How many NVME slots you require? Will you be using RAID. Will you overclock? Do you have other devices that will need PCIe lanes? Do you need Gigabit Ethernet? Is built in wireless desirable? Is on board Bluetooth something you might use? etc etc Basically ITX boards tend to incorporate more built in stuff like wireless and bluetooth but only take 2 RAM sticks and one expansion slot used by the graphics card. Non_ITX larger boards have more PCiE expansion slots but less stuff built in. Overclocking mother boards for K Series processors enable overclocking and also tend to have more PCIe lanes and other features like RAID built in but are expensive and a waste if your not overclocking or using the other features. It can get sort of complicated.
August 21, 20223 yr Motherboard choice usually comes down to the size of case you are planning and all the features such as ports and connectors. That's really for a Hardware forum. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
