Flightbeam KDEN elevation problems.

Featured Replies

After the GSX P3D gone wrong update fiasco I have been getting this elevation problems at Denver. Anyone has any suggestion? I am looking for a possible duplicate AFCAD on my system but I can't find one.

I have no such problem at KDEN. I just know, the old versions of this airport don't work in P3D5.

Maybe another KDEN interferes. The flightbeam manager has a troubleshooting tool. Maybe that solves your problem.

OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons)
Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft

MB=Gigabyte AORUS Z790 Elite AX, CPU=i13900K, Cooling=Be quiet! Pure Loop II FX
GPU=KFA2 RTX3090 24 GB, RAM=64 GB DDR5-5600, HOTAS=Logitech G Saitek X52 Pro

Orbx Northern or Central Rockies interfering perhaps?

Kind Regards,

Peter

It was working fine. I did recently installed Orbx NC but after I run the Flightbeam troubleshooting tool it does not find anything to deactivate.

I uninstalled the scenery. Deleted any SODE and GSX file and re-installed it. On the installation it ask if you want to install a P3Dv4 or P3Dv5 version. After it runs flightbeam manager it found and update to version 3.05 I believe and had to do with P3D v5 elevation correction. It is all good now.

Thank you.

Glad to hear, you could solve it.

That is always a good idea to reinstall, if you see others don't have the problem.

SODE and GSX usually don't have elevation files, so that was not absolutely necessary.

Hi, I seem to be on 3.04 and have the same elevation issue that you do. A reinstall only gave me the option to update to 3.04 but the changelog says the 3.05 fixes the elevation issue. Is there a specific way i can get updated to 3.05??

You should be able to do the update via the Flightbeam Manager.

Bob -- I just tried running the FB Manager and there isn't an update to 3.05. The lower right corner still says 3.04. Is there a way to force an update?

3.04 is the latest I am aware of for FB KDEN--that version specifically addressed the elevation issues that were present in the original ADE file in P3Dv5.  I think @mister2509 probably just recalled the version number incorrectly.
