September 15, 20223 yr What a beautiful thing. When my dad retired I was able to fly with him on the last leg and was privileged to get the gear up and down for him. Memories that bring tears to the eyes. Freshly retired after 41 unforgettable years on the Boeing 747. The flying days may be behind me, but the memories never will be. Now I have the privilege of sharing those experiences—and continuing to learn alongside the next generation of pilots—in the Level D simulator. Aviation has a way of keeping us all pilots, no matter how many hours we've logged.
September 17, 20223 yr What a nice story. With all that's going on around in the world today this kind of a story is a beautiful way to start a new day. I love it! I'm glad I checked out AVSIM first this morning before looking at the news. Now I won't read the news for the rest of the day. I think I'll move to Iceland in my next incarnation. Noel Edited September 17, 20223 yr by birdguy The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
