This earthquake occurred when a national exercise in Mexico City, state of Mexico, Michoacán, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Morelos, Oaxaca and Chiapas had just ended to commemorate the 8.1 magnitude earthquake that devastated Mexico City.

As always in September, just after or before their independence day.

Cheers, Ed

It's actually September 19th the day we're afraid of... there's been three devastating earthquakes on the same day. The last two (2017 and today) just minutes after going through a city-wide earthquake drill in Mexico City.

Both ironic and spooky at the same time.

Looks like a terrible coincidence, but maybe it isn't and a case for study is open.
