Ship graphics conflict

Recommended Posts

Does anyone recognize this strange graphics effect?

This is Vancouver with either the Google downtown addon or the Flight Centre addon..

Removing these addons fixes the conflict... but what is it?

I've seen this too at freeware MKJP. Deleting the addon seems to have solved it but I am not seeing any cruiseliners at that location anymore. I guess it must be an issue with the cruiseliner object. Is that a default MSFS object or third party?

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

It is a default cruiseship... but it does not like the addons near it..

I've seen that too in a 3rd party scenery. Fortunately, it got fixed by the developer.  No idea what he did to make it go away.

I see this with default ships at NZMF. They disappear after a while, but reappear if you pan away and back. Only started happening with SU10.

Do you have any addon scenery for NZMF installed?

Yes - I do ... freeware NZMF (but I think that's the immediate airport area only) plus ORBX NZMesh. However - I also a ship traffic addon active (GAIST), so I'll try with that disabled.

I saw it just north of NZWN. It started building up as an enormous pile of lines, but after one or two minutes it looked like a cruise ship with just some lines over it. GAIST was enabled.

I do not have GAIST enabled, so I doubt that is a factor.. these appear to be default Asobo ships.

Asobo apparently added wake effects to all moving boats in SU10.. but it appears that some statics also have wakes effects under the ship, (like a ripple effect), but in some cases, and only for some users, these effects are arching all around and on top of the boat or ships.(It's not just cruise ships but also smaller boats).

If some 3rd party add-ons are turned off, the static ship might correctly appear but in other cases not and the boat/ships is covered in shooting lines. At a bit of a loss right now but sounds like a new B U G in SU10.
