July 2, 200718 yr Anybody buy this? Can you tell me the fps impact on FSX? Systems, fms, fly-by-wire all work ok? I'm waiting for Dreamfleet's offering but that seems quite a ways off.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
July 2, 200718 yr Frame rate hit on the Wilco Airbus is about the same as the Level-D 767...substantial but survivable in FSX if you have a cutting edge system. I see frames in the low 20s with a Core 2 Extreme overclocked to 3.6GHz. Fly by wire is a bit rough...it's sluggish to the point of blowing past altitudes at level off, and will do something of a vertical hiyakka when flaps are set because it doesn't keep up with the pitch change. The fuel system is dorked, too...feed sequences are all wrong, shows center tank feeding with the center pumps off, etc etc.Without any real way of gauging how far away AXP's release is, it's hard to make a recommendation. Wilco's support is truly hideous, and FeelThere have just announced they are going to move all support for their Airbus product line into the Wilco black hole.Their 'bus flies OK for me, but only after after having had to modify the flight dynamics to fix excessive idle thrust, re-write the localizer/glideslope PID parameters, fix the pitch rate performance, and fix the inoperative speed brakes. And all this after three service packs now. If you're not good with panel and flight model modding you may be disappointed. If you can live for a while longer without an FSX Airbus to see what emerges with AXP, I would.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
July 2, 200718 yr Ok thanks for that Bob. Looks like a wait for me. I don't want to tinker excessively just to get flyability. I know with the 777 FeelThere has referred all support to Wilco and shut down their support forum.

July 2, 200718 yr Author Hi, Bob, is possible to have access to your improved Flight Dynamic (like you did with the PSS heavy buses)? Thanks.Miquel Egea.

July 2, 200718 yr >Hi, Bob, is possible to have access to your improved Flight>Dynamic (like you did with the PSS heavy buses)?>>Thanks.>>Miquel Egea.Miquel; I thought long and hard on this one, and regrettably, I just can't. As much as I know it would help out other users of a defective product, I can't stomach the idea that I would be facilitating the developer's continued misbehavior. With the PSS example back in 2003, there simply were no other options for a decent flyable Airbus, so I sat down and designed...from scratch...a new set of FDE for that model. It was as much then a challenge to prove that it could be done as it was anything else. And to show the developer that it could be done much better than the really rotten FDE they kept defending...and by a first-time amateur at that. My alternative A330-340 FDE for the PSS Scarebus heavies was my first complete FDE project. I am going to leave fixing the FeelThere 'bus, at least beyond the help I've already given and had cast aside, to the motley crew behind the scenes at FeelThere. Or to the motley crew at AXP. Or the motley crew at AirSimmer. Or PMDG. Lots of other options coming up fast for those who don't feel compelled to settle for mediocrity in the short term.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
